Actor Puneet Rajkumar (born: 17 March 1975 – died: 29 October 2021) is an Indian actor, playback singer, popularly known as “Appu“. He mainly worked in Kannada cinema. Puneet had acted as a lead actor in 29 films; As a child, he also appeared in several films.
Actor Puneeth has worked in many more movies like Vasant Geetha, Bhagyavant, Chalisuva Modagalu, Eradu Nakshatragalu, won him the National Film Award for Best Child Actor for Child Actor role in Bettada Hoovu.
Actor Puneeth Rajkumar (Lohit) was born in Chennai to matinee Murthy Rajkumar and Parvathamma (film producer) Rajkumar. He was their fifth child and youngest son.
When Puneet was young, his family moved to Mysore. His father Late Rajkumar (Actor) used to bring Puneet and his sister Purnima to his film sets till the age of ten.
Puneet’s elder brother Shiv Rajkumar is also a professional Actor & Singer.

In 1976 director V. Somashekar cast Puneet on screen at the age of six months in his thriller film Premada Kanike.
In 1983, he appeared in two mythological films as Bhakta Prahlad Nayak, Prahlad, and Eradu Nakshatragalu, earning him his second Karnataka State Film Award for Best Child Actor.
In 1984, Puneet sang the song “Kannige Kanuva” with Rajkumar. Puneet Rajkumar’s biggest break as a child artist came in the 1985 drama Bettada Hoovu.
In the early teens of his career, he appeared alongside his elder brother, Shiva Rajkumar as Yuva Kannappa in Siva Mechida Kannappa in 1988.

In April 2002, actor Puneet Rajkumar made his film debut as a leading man in the masala film.
