Career
Kinjal Dave is an Indian Garba queen, folk singer and actress from Gujarat. He was born on 24 November 1999 in an Advaita Brahmin family in Jesangpara village near Patan, Gujarat. Kinjal Dave’s age is 21 years in 2021.
His full name is Joshi Kinjal Laljibhai. and kinjal father’s name is Lalji Bhai and mother’s name is not known. His brother name is Akash Dave.
Kinjal did her schooling from Maniba School Ahmedabad and did her graduation from Patanjali Institute of Professional Studies, Gujarat.
He made his music debut with the Gujarati song “Jonadio”. Kinjal Dave rose to prominence with her song “Chaar Chaar Bangdiwali Gaadi” released in the 2016 video song.
Char Chaar Bangdiwali Gaadi Case
His 2016 song “Char Chaar Bangdiwali Gaadi” was sued by a Gujarati singer from Australia for copyright infringement on his song.
Patel claimed that the song is a copy of his original song with some minor changes.
Patel’s song Kinjal’s song ‘Char Chaar Bangdiwali Gadhi’ was uploaded on YouTube three months before its release. But, Kinjal Dave claimed that there is an original song written by Manubhai Rabari in 2014.
In 2019, Dave was barred from using the song until the matter was resolved by the Ahmedabad Commercial Court.
The Gujarat High Court lifted the ban a month later. Later in April 2019, the case was dismissed.
Dave’s publishers RDC Media and Saraswati Studio removed the song from their platform acknowledging copyright infringement, leaving Dave alone defending the case.
His other Gujarati songs list include “Char Char Bangdi Wali Garhi“, “Ghat To Ghati Zindagi“, “Aame Gujrati Leri Lala“, “Chhote Raja“, “Jai Adhyashakti Aarti” and “Makhan Chor“.
He made his acting debut with the Gujarati film Dada Ho Dikri. Kinjal Dave became a member of Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019.
Awards
Received the Glorious Gujarati Award at the 12th Gauravwant Gujarati Awards of Gujarat in 2019. In 2020, he received the “Feelings Pride of India” award in the music category.
